Breast Lift With Implants
If your breasts are sagging with very little breast volume, or if they are naturally small in size, a breast lift (mastopexy) alone may not produce the desired look. A combination of a breast lift and the insertion of breast implants (breast enlargement) will be required.

Your surgeon will discuss the procedure in detail including the size of the implant and the extent of the breast lift.
What does breast lift /mastopexy surgery involve?
Breast lift operations involve lifting and repositioning the nipple in the centre of the breasts. The breast skin may also need to be tightened and the breast tissue repositioned higher on the chest, at which point implants will be inserted.
This is a complex procedure and, on occasions, further surgery may be required to achieve a fully balanced look.
How long will I be in hospital for?
The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic and will involve an overnight stay in the hospital following surgery. In the majority of cases the patient is discharged the next day.
What is the long-term impact of breast surgery?
Breast surgery is a long-term commitment, and you may require adjustment surgery at a later date. Until recently, the average product life of breast implants was thought to be 10 years. This is no longer the case. Modern breast implants can last for twice that term without needing to be replaced. But if you are in your early 20s, please be aware that you may require additional surgery later in life.
