Breast lift without implants - Operation guide

The procedure is performed under a general anaesthetic.

Lifting your breasts
If your breasts are droopy but still have volume, a breast lift (mastopexy) alone will result in a more youthful and pert breast. The procedure involves lifting the nipple, removing excess skin and reshaping the breast.

The incisions
Lifting the breast will involve a certain amount of scarring. The incision required will depend on the droopiness of the breasts. These scars may be restricted to the area around the nipple (circumareolar) or extend onto the breast (lollipop or anchor).

Preparing to go home
The operation will usually require an overnight stay in hospital.

Your first post-operative consultation will take place approximately seven to 10 days after your surgery.
