                       -Mybreast (My Aesthetics Ltd)

These terms and conditions provide detailed information for patients considering plastic surgery procedures with Mybreast.  They explain the fixed price package, what happens if you or we cancel the procedure and what happens if you suffer complications.

There are certain exclusions to the fixed price and these are listed below.

The quoted price will be confirmed in writing (the Confirmation letter) after booking. The fixed or agreed price is only valid upon issue of a written Confirmation letter from Mybreast.  When booking a deposit of £250.00 must be paid upon booking) to secure your surgery date.  Payment of this deposit will constitute your full acceptance of these terms and conditions.

You are contracting with Mybreast, a division of MyAesthetics Limited.  The services are provided to you by Mybreast, and we have contracted with the Consultant and other staff and the hospital to provide those services to Mybreast so that we can provide them to you under this agreement.

1. Consultation

  • A non refundable £25 fee is payable to secure a consultation with your chosen Surgeon. If you should proceed to surgery this will be deducted from your final balance.
  • In the event that the consultation is cancelled without giving 48 hours notice in writing to your patient advisor an additional £25 admin charge will be incurred and automatically debited from your Credit/Debit card.
  • The £25 covers up to two consultations with your chosen surgeon. Any additional consultations will be charged at £25 per visit. In addition you are also entitled to one consultation with an additional surgeon at no extra cost.
  • An agreed consultation may be rescheduled once, otherwise an additional £25 fee becomes payable.

 
2. Fixed Price Package Includes

a. Pre-operative consultation(s)*
b. Hospital accommodation for one overnight stay after surgery (if you decide not to stay after    your surgery takes place then this will not be deducted from the fixed fee.  Additional night stays are chargeable at agreed hospital rate.)  If you do decide not to stay overnight, 24 hours notice must be given in writing to My Aesthetics Ltd.
c. Operating theatre charges
d. Surgical appliances
e. Implants
f. Nursing Care
g. Tests, drugs and dressings that may be needed during your one night stay in hospital
h. Surgical fee
i. Anaesthetic fee
j. Post-operative consultation programme*

*The number of pre and post operative consultations varies depending upon the individual’s requirements. The fixed surgical cost covers any and all consultations that are recommended by your Mybreast surgeon following the initial consultation.  

3. Items that are excluded from the fixed fee.

a. Personal expenses such as travel, phone calls, magazines, and meals for visitors
b. Consultations and treatment of medical conditions that may arise that are not related to your agreed procedure either before or after surgery. 
c. Any items or surgical procedures that are not directly related to your agreed procedure will not be included in your fixed price package and will be invoiced directly to the individual patient.
d. Should you wish an additional length of stay in hospital over the one night allowed for, there will be an additional charge directly to the individual patient.
e. Pre operative assessments that may be required by your hospital and/or consultant and any additional prescription drugs recommended by your consultant/hospital. These will be payable at the standard hospital/consultant rates directly by the patient as they are outside the scope of your agreement with MyBreast.

You will be charged the standard hospital and consultant fees for the items above. These additional charges will be levied directly by the hospital, consultant or others from whom you incur them and are outside the scope of your agreement with Mybreast.

4. Prior to surgery you should:

  •  Sign and return these terms and conditions, retaining a copy for you. 
     
  •  Arrange a payment method as outlined in your confirmation letter.  You may pay by cash, credit card, bankers draft, local bank deposit, credit/debit card or via our recommended finance plan
     
  • All monies must be paid in full or your finance plan accepted by our finance company 21 days prior to your scheduled surgery date.  If the full amount is not received 21 days or more prior to that scheduled date Mybreast reserves the right to postpone the surgery and retain the initial consultation fee and your deposit, only one postponement will be allowed.

5. The consultant

The consultant is engaged by Mybreast so we can provide his or her services to you.  The consultant is not employed by the hospital or Mybreast and is an independent contractor. 

You must answer any questions put to you by the consultant or other clinical staff truthfully, completely and accurately and provide any information which may affect your initial consultation, treatment or recovery.

6. Personal Details

You agree that we (Mybreast) can use your personal details for the purposes of providing you with clinical and surgical services, providing pre- and post-operative advice and treatment and administering our agreement with you.

This information may be provided to other clinical organisations and individuals (including the consultant, clinical staff and the hospital) for the same purposes.

We may also use your contact details to provide you with occasional information about other services we provide or may provide in the future.  If you do not wish to receive this information, please tell us.  If you do not tell us, we will assume you are happy to receive this information.

Your ‘What ifs?’ answered...

1. What if I decide not to proceed with my surgery?

  • If cancellation is for bona fide medical reasons which prevent you from proceeding with your procedure within the next 12 months, Mybreast will refund all monies paid to you (other than your initial consultation fee), regardless of the date on which you cancel. Proof of medical reasons is required to be submitted before refund is approved.
  • Mybreast will refund your payment, less consultation fee, if written notification is given by e-mail or recorded delivery to your patient advisor within 14 days of booking your surgery..
  • In the event that your surgery is booked within 21 days of surgery, no refund will be given on cancellation.
  • If you postpone your surgery you have 6 months from your initial surgery date to re-book, failing which no refunds will be made.

2. What if I suffer complications following discharge from the hospital?

  •  Mybreast provide no guarantee of the aesthetic or sizing result, however we take steps to ensure that the hospital, consultant and other staff perform to best clinical practice, in terms of pre-and post-operative care, as well as the undertaking of the procedure itself.  
  • Mybreast will cover the surgical cost of re admission to hospital and re-operation if you develop medical and/or surgery-related complications within 12 months of your surgery with Mybreast under the following categories, excluding the cost of new implants;
  • Return to theatre for immediate complications for instances of haematoma or infection.
  • Mybreast will cover surgical cost of re admission to hospital and re-operation if you develop capsular contracture (breast surgery) that is felt [by your consultant] would benefit from surgical intervention or implant rupture within 5 years following your original surgery with Mybreast.  Please note only one readmission for correction of capsular contracture is included in the aftercare and it does not include cover for pre existing capsular contracture conditions. 
  • Revision surgery may not necessarily be performed by your original surgeon.
  • Mybreast DO NOT cover the cost of re operation relating to patient dissatisfaction of implant size.(Breast surgery)
  • Mybreast offers to all patients’ free follow up and advice for life whenever necessary regarding implant related problems. (Breast surgery) 

It should be noted that under certain circumstances extra cost may apply when undertaking revision surgery.

3. What if my consultant decides not to proceed with my procedure?

  • Mybreast consultants reserve the right not to proceed with your surgery at any stage.  If this occurs you will be refunded any monies paid, including your deposit [but excluding your initial consultation fee].

Our objective when dealing with each complaint

We deal with each complaint individually to focus our full attention on the issue at hand.

We treat each complaint with high importance and aim to resolve each issue promptly and politely.

We respond to each case with an appropriate explanation, an apology when we are at fault and as much information as possible of the action taken.

We learn from each complaint and commit to the improvement our service structure.
 

How we deal with your complaint

We aim to reply to all complaints within seven working days of the initial concern to acknowledge your correspondence.

We will then investigate the situation to find a resolution and take action.  We will keep you updated throughout this process.

You will then receive our response, outlining our conclusion and apology where necessary. 
 
We aim to treat every complaint with respect and in return expect equal consideration to be shown to our staff who handle complaints.
