Breast Uplift Surgery (Mastopexy) with Implants
If your breasts are sagging or have lost shape due to childbirth, weight loss or as part of the ageing process and you have very little breast volume, a procedure that involves a combination of a breast lift (mastopexy) and the insertion of breast implants (breast enlargement) can achieve your desired look.
Breast uplift surgery with the addition of implants will elevate ptosis (drooping) breasts by correcting the shape, position and increase the size of the breasts. Breast uplift surgery is extremely effective in order to give the breasts a more youthful and pert appearance.
If you already have sufficient breast volume then a breast lift without implants may be suggested by your surgeon. All your options will be discussed in detail at your surgeon consultation including the size of the implant and the extent of the breast lift.

FAQs
At MyBreast our patients go through a number of steps to ensure their suitability and that this procedure is right for them. A number of consultations with both your personal Patient Adviser and your surgeon will ensure your expectations can be met.
All surgical procedures come with risks however our thorough consultation process will ensure you are fully informed and any risks identified. We will only proceed if we feel it is in your best interests and any risks are outweighed by the benefits.
If we do not feel that you are a suitable candidate, we will always be open, honest, and transparent. At MyBreast, we keep your wellbeing and safety at the forefront of what we do.

Breast surgery is a long-term commitment, and you may require adjustment surgery at a later date. Modern breast implants can last for over 20 years without needing to be replaced, but if you are in your early 20s, please be aware that you may require additional surgery later in life.
Gabriela opted for a breast lift with implants procedure following the impact that breast feeding had on her breast appearance and her confidence as a result of this. Following her procedure with us she said “I am absolutely over the moon with my new breasts!”.

One the day of your procedure, you will be welcomed by our friendly hospital team. Your dedicated nurse will take you to your private room where you will also see your surgeon and anaesthetist before your surgery.
We normally ask patients to arrive a few hours before their procedure takes place so observations can be taken to ensure you are fit and well and you are given time to relax and settle any nerves.
Breast lift operations involve lifting and repositioning the nipple in the centre of the breasts. The breast skin may also need to be tightened and the breast tissue repositioned higher on the chest, at which point implants will be inserted. Lifting the breast will involve a certain amount of extra scarring. This may be restricted to the area around the nipple (circumareolar) or extend onto the breast (lollipop or anchor). Your incisions will be closed with either dissolvable or removable sutures.
The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic and will involve an overnight stay in the hospital following surgery. In the majority of cases the patient is discharged the next day.
Once the procedure is complete, the recovery team will ensure you are fit and well before taking you back to your private room. Your post-surgical garment will be provided for you and will be in situ when you wake up. Many patients will stay overnight following their procedure however this will be assessed on a case by case basis by your surgeon in advance.
Your breast implants need to be held in their new position, so you will require a surgical support bra to stay in place for a 6 week period after breast lift and enlargement surgery.
During this time you must restrict your activity to ensure the breast implants are not disturbed. Your surgeon may also recommend an upper pole strap to hold your breasts in the desired position.
It is important not to engage in any strenuous activity for at least three to four weeks, as your breasts may still be sore throughout this period.
You should sleep propped up by pillows to reduce swelling of the breasts and sleep on your back for the first few weeks after surgery.
Do not drive for at least 1 week after your surgery, and do not exercise until approved by your surgeon usually 6 weeks.
Do not expose your breasts directly to sunlight until approved by your surgeon.
The exact cost of a breast lift with implants will depend on your personal situation and your desired results. At your surgeon consultation, you will receive a premium cosmetic surgery experience, your surgeon will talk you through exactly how much your procedure will cost during your consultation based on your personal surgical requirements.
We will be honest and transparent and ensure there are no hidden costs. Your package will always include everything from pre assessment and consultations to hospital stay and aftercare.
